After LDI is there anything else to report? Well there is always more stuff to mention. Plus there is another trade sohw in another part of the world. This time it is PALME Vietnam 2011. This is Vietnam’s International Showcase for Professional Audio, Lighting, AV, Systems Integration, Music Software & IT and Entertainment TechnologyExhibition. If I hear any thing exciting I will write about it here.

Audix

Audix have released a very interesting ceiling microphone. This is a response from clients of Audix. So they have released the M40 and M70 overhead ceiling mic. The M40 is a hanging gooseneck style and the M70 is a flush mount low profile unit. The M40 has a choice of  optional models that are hyper-cardioid and super-cardioid polar patterns. It is available in 15cm and 30cm lengths. The M70 has a highly directional cardioid pick-up which is on a swivel mount. It therefore can swivel through 45 degs. Both microphones require 18 to 52volts of phantom power. They are also shielded against RF interference from mobile phones.
