Ultra-Compact Release from Martin

Martin have released a small simple and very affordable LED wash light. It is the Martin MAC 101.  This is a small super-light LED moving light. It has a nice tight, bright beam. Very rapid movements in response to commands and calibrated colours. All this with an affordable price tag.

Utilizing cost-efficient, high-volume production and featuring an ultra-compact design that promotes use in larger quantities, the MAC 101 is ideal for easy-to-produce, high-impact looks like large wall matrices or as a dynamic replacement for static PAR cans. The MAC 101 projects a tight beam with a soft yet defined edge that is surprisingly bright for such a compact, energy-saving fixture. Beam angle is 13.5° with a wide angle diffuser available as an option for greater design possibilities. Exceptionally easy to rig, power can be daisy chained between fixtures with PowerCon cables for less cable mess and hassle.A calibrated RGB color mixing system plus color wheel effect provides a full spectrum of color choices. The 101 is capable of smooth dimming from 0-100% and strobe effects such as pulse and random effects are possible.

An even in small numbers these are very effective wash light, and has a variety of applications in concerts, events, exhibitions and more. Imagine pixelmapping video content across a large video wall of MACs – each MAC 101 essentially a pixel in a dynamic graphic. Replace PAR cans with creativity and versatility – color, movement and beam effects that are dynamic instead of ordinary. Line a stage, truss, or set pieces with 101’s for more creative looks or supplant walls of PAR cans for more dynamic washes of color that consume less power.

FIELD TEMPLATE METRIC RULES Stencil

for those old school designers and the not so old school

The METRIC RULES! Stencil is the latest offering from FIELD TEMPLATE™. Using the patented Pro•Grid Metric 50 System, all cutout lighting symbols are pre-spaced 50 centimeters apart and aligned onto a horizontal axis like a batten. Manufacturers include ETC, Selecon, Strand, Robert Juliat, CCT, L&E, Reich & Vogel, and even includes a favorite of many designers, the Strand Patt 23! Adjacent to every 1:25 cutout symbol is text displaying the metric weight, cut color size, and beam spread information for that symbol.
The METRIC RULES! Stencil also contains a substantial collection of ancillary symbols not found on any other template; LED dots, HMI indicators, dimming shutters, scrollers, top hats, half hats, along with several sizes of circles, rectangles, squares, triangles, and generic moving light symbols.
The METRIC RULES! Stencil is laid out so that every lighting and ancillary symbol is repeated in two scales—both 1:50 and 1:25. The scales are printed on either side of the template. ½” and ¼” scales are also printed on the scalloped edge of the template.
The METRIC RULES! Stencil is packaged in an A4 page format. Four cutout holes across the 1:25 edge allow it to snap into a 2-hole or 4-hole A4 binder. The top sticks out to act as a tab separator in the notebook.
